Grimsby Town youth academy graduate Harry Clifton has been called up to the Wales U21 squad for their friendlies with Albania in June.

The 20-year-old Town youth academy graduate, who scored three goals in 43 appearances for the Mariners in 2018-19, has been named in the 22-man squad by manager Rob Page.

Clifton is part of the squad which will face Albania in two games – on Sunday, June 9 (5pm), and Tuesday, June 11 (3pm).

The squad also features players from Premier League sides Manchester United, Arsenal, and Wolverhampton Wanderers, as well as players from Championship clubs Nottingham Forest and Swansea City.

Clifton has progressed rapidly over the last 18 months – he signed a new three-year deal with the Mariners last summer, and has already made 56 first-team appearances for the club.

We would like to congratulate Harry and wish him the best of luck for his call-up!
