Grimsby Town midfielder Harry Clifton visits injured youth academy player Ruben Hilldrith

By Adam Smith

Grimsby Town youth academy graduate Harry Clifton has paid a visit to injured U13s forward Ruben Hilldrith.

Grimsby Town midfielder Harry Clifton presented a signed Mariners shirt to injured youth academy player Ruben Hilldrith this week.

Under-13 forward Ruben has recently had successful surgery on his fractured growth plate, in his right leg, which he suffered in a game with Lincoln City in February.

The surgery consisted of Ruben having a screw put into his bone to help with the healing process of the injury.

And Town youth academy graduate Clifton, who has been Ruben's favourite first-team player so far this season, took time out to visit the youngster at his home with academy coach Michal Pujdak.

Ruben, who has been at the club since U9s, is known for his trickery and bravery for shooting from outside the box, and has scored some beautiful goals from long-range.

All teammates and staff at the academy wish Ruben a speedy recovery and we are looking forward to having him back playing football.
